How We Used Pinterest to Plan Our Content Day

You already know we aren't shy when it comes to hiding our love for Pinterest. We are bringing Pinterest back in 2024. In case you haven't already, tune into our podcast where we talk all things Pinterest, and keep reading to find out unique ways you can leverage this platform.

Back in April, we held a content shoot for our podcast, Hashtag Managed. We had a quick turn around for planning this content shoot, so we of course had to rely on some resources to pull-off an on-brand and fun content shoot.

Finding a Photographer

There are SO many amazing photographers out there, and this allowed us to narrow down our options and find the perfect fit for this content shoot specifically. Since this was our first content shoot for this side of the brand specifically, we had a new image in mind, so we had to find someone who could bring the vision to life and was the perfect fit. We were able to browse through and view their prior work to see who had the right style that matched with our brand.

Find Local Spots

Pinterest is a powerful search engine! Not only can you find brands from across the world, but you can always leverage it for local spots, too. We use this to find all the fun places we wanted to pop into for our content day. By searching by the name of the area we were shooting in, we were able to find all kinds of helpful tips on the locations, places to check out, and even a few fun stop for the content day breaks.

Create a Mood Board

When it comes to any type of creative, although we are all looking at the same brand guidelines, the vision differs from person to person. However, when it comes to making the content shoot cohesive with the brand and the difference perspectives, a mood board can be just thing. Not only does this allow for you to gain inspiration on what types of content piece you'd like to capture, but you can see them although on one board to compare the overall feel to ensure it matches your brand. This is the perfect way to get our team and photographer on the same page.

We hope this helps you gain inspiration on how you can use Pinterest to plan your next content shoot day. Although Pinterest is such a fun platform, when it comes down to it it can get straight to business...and by this we mean it actually can impact many elements of your biz!
