Hey Business Pinners! Today we are sharing plenty of Pinterest-ing ideas to give your account a refresh! For starters, if you're still on the edge of creating a Pinterest for your business, definitely check out our blog post: Should I Create Pinterest Account for My Business?

Pinterest is such a unique platform that continues to maintain its popularity, despite the Instagram & TikTok craze! It allows for storytelling, and definitely is female-focused but growing in the male demographic by almost half in the last year, too. There are about a million approaches to include your brand on Pinterest in fun and creative ways, check out a few of them below!

📌 Make Content that Pops-Out

Did you know that vertical pins (2:3 aspect ratio) will stand out more on pinner's feeds? Videos, too! The videos automatically start playing as the user scrolls, so anything that starts moving will usually catch your audience's eye. Unlike most platforms, on Pinterest, you are literally side-by-side competing with other content. Make sure you have a great hook to make them hone-in on your content, rather than theirs!

📌 Utilize Idea Pins

Do we have anyone that has enough self-control to not click through all the idea pins? No? I didn't think so...Idea Pins are amazing at capturing your audience's attention. So amazing that they need their own point on this article. Idea Pins are great for step-by-steps, product/service features, or even resharing your TikToks & Reels! Just remember that Pinterest is less audio focused when it comes to videos, so be sure to add in captions.

📌Optimize Your Account

We can't forget, Pinterest and SEO are bffs! It gives you many chances to hit those keywords and further optimize your profile and pins, to get you great exposure on the site. Here are some steps to optimize:

  • Make sure that you are a business account.

  • Ensure your links work and are up to date

  • Use an on-brand profile photo and update it regularly.

  • Use keywords in your name, bio, pin titles, and board titles

  • Include CTAs - in your bio and in your pins!

  • Pin titles can be up to 100 characters and 500 characters in the description, go crazy!!

  • Choose board image covers, update your board descriptions, and use appropriate board titles.
