10 TikTok Content Ideas for When You Feel Stuck

Stuck in a content idea rut on TikTok? It happens to the best of us, don't worry! Here are some ideas to help get you through this idea dry spell.

1. Share a story

Who doesn't love a good story? Positive, negative, funny, sweet, inspirational, recent - whatever story comes to mind that you feel comfortable sharing! Very rarely do I ever scroll passed a story once I'm already invested, even if it is as simple as what happened to them at the grocery store today.

2. Product/Service Sneak Peak

Viewers love to feel like they are getting exclusive access and like to know that they are ahead of the curve! As an added bonus, it works well for adding a little buzz about your new launch, upcoming event, or offer coming soon!

3. Tutorials

TikTok is basically the new YouTube for video tutorials and entertaining educational content. Here's what we want you to try: thinking about things for the first time again! Even the most simple of concepts you can turn into a tutorial. We get so caught up in assuming that other's know what we know, but truth is, our experiences and knowledge is so unique that something that is simple or comes easy to you, is actually a new learning experience for someone else! Use that as an opportunity to educate others!

4. Tips

Something new you learned, something you learned from someone else (but be sure to give credit where credit is needed!) or something you just figured out on your own and need to share - Tok it! Even the smallest hack and turn into the perfect video.

5. Answer Comments

My favorite content inspo comes from the comments section. People ask all kinds of questions and state just about everything under the sun in the comments! Make sure you are doing some social listening and staying in tune with your audience through the conversations surrounding your brand. Sometimes the easiest thing we can do for new content inspiration is just simply listening to what they are asking for or interested in.

6. A day in the life

They call 'em followers for a reason! People love to follow along on your day and see what you're up to. Even if it's just your daily, make a coffee, sit down at your desk, go for a walk, and make a salad for lunch kind of day, I can almost guarantee people will want to see it.

7. Ask for opinions

As we all know, people like to share their opinions online (even when they are not solicited...) So, give them the opportunity to share their thoughts! If you have a new product launching, new service coming soon, or even something as simple as "what kind of content do you want to see." Your audience can be a huge opportunity for market research and willing to answer questions - you just have to ask 🙂

8. Try a Trend

Trends give TikTok such life! Do your own take on something trending. Whether it's your team trying out a dance trend or putting your own personality on a trending audio, trends are such a fun way to stay relevant and a great source of ideas.

9. Repost User Generated Content

User-generated content is content created by an individual, rather than a brand. It's a great way to connect with other audiences and create relationships with other creators. Additionally, it might be a good opportunity for your audience to see a fresh new content take! Make sure to give credit to original creators and ask for permission before reposting.

10. Do a Giveaway or Contest

Many think of Instagram as the hub for giveaways, but TikTok can have all the same success! Plus, it's a great way to get more people to try your product or service in a different audience. When trying this one out, ensure that you have done all your research around the legalities of giveaways on social media and TikTok specifically.
