Reduce, Reuse, Recycle...Repurpose!
Hey you, the one sharing the same content, caption, and graphic on your Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest...There's a better way to do it!
Since it’s Earth Day, we are here to show you that you can even reduce, reuse, and recycle when it comes to social media management! The idea that you can create the same content for all platforms and get the same results, is completely FALSE! What works best on what platform might completely flop on the other. Your audience and the platform's characteristics and algorithm are very different from each other, even if it doesn't seem like it. Plus, it can get boring if your content is exactly the same! We know you're busy and this saves so much time; however, there is another way to save time without copy & pasting from one account to the other, it's called repurposing!
Repurposing content or content recycling consists of reusing elements of content in other forms. You'll be surprised at the impact that it will make, the content burnout you'll save yourself from, and how much less time-consuming it is when compared to creating completely new content. The truth us, you can find so much content inspiration from yourself! Blogs, posts, articles, features, stories, reels, website - there are so many different elements we can pull from some of our other content and turn it into something successful for a new platform. Chances are, if you shared it once and it did well, when you repurpose it, it will have similar success, too!
Here are some ways to repurpose:
Make reels from your captions
Create summary posts on your story
Turn your tweets into Instagram posts
Refresh and republish old photos
Share the link of your post to Facebook
Share TikToks to Reels
Share your Reels / TikToks to Pinterest as Idea Pins
Break down a blog into a carousel
