What is a Content Workflow?

A content workflow refers to the series of steps involved in creating, editing, and managing social media content. It encompasses the entire lifecycle of how content is produced from strategy, to concept, to design, to publishing.

What is content batching?

Content batching is another important term to define along with this subject. Content batching is a productivity technique, where you dedicate blocks of time to create multiple pieces of content in one sitting, rather than creating content as an as-needed basis. Instead of switching tasks frequently, you focus on one step at a time and can create efficiencies. Creators often batch in 2-week or month batches.

Strategy

Reference the "Understanding your Instagram Insights" masterclass to help you with this step, to start interpreting what your social media results mean and how we can pivot the social media strategy around these insights specifically.

Planning

Planning content is a step that is often forgotten, but this is the key to not getting stuck later on and meeting your social media goals through your creative + copy. Inside our membership portal, you'll find a "How To Plan an Entire Month of Content" masterclass. During this masterclass, Jessica (our founder + organic social media management expert) goes over our 4-3-2-1 method for planning content, content pillars, and how to streamline this process, giving you all the tools you need to start your planning process off correctly.

Creative

The creative refers to the physical piece of content used (aka the graphic!). With our membership, we not only have a bank of YEARS-worth of content calendars filled with easy-to-edit templates, but we also launch a new content calendar on the first of each month. So, even if don't have the time to craft graphics or don't think you have that 'creative eye' for creating graphics, you can use all of these Instagram story, Reels, and post templates directly in your Canva. It's as simple as adding your brand personality, popping it into your brand colors + fonts, and that's it!

Copy

Copy (aka your caption) is often where you can lose your audience if you don't capture their attention. Therefore, your copy is essential because this is where you can connect and encourage your audience to engage or follow your call to action. We know that not everyone is an author or enjoys persuasive copywriting, so this is where our daily content prompts in our membership come into play. Hashtag Optimization

Last but not least, add hashtags and ensure that your post is fully optimized for your audience. Use our Instagram Hashtag Guide organized by industry to find a full list of hashtags you can use to end your post with the perfect tag to increase your reach to your ideal audience.

How to Use this Workflow + Batching System

Each of these pieces, we like to batch. So, first, we start with the strategy creation/review, move on to batching out the creative for 30 posts, and then the copy, adding the hashtag sets.
