How To Find Keywords to Use On Social Media

You've probably heard us say about a thousand times how helpful keywords can be in your posts, alt text, and name on social media. But, what if you're not really sure what those keywords are?

Don't worry, today we are here to walk you through finding your keywords! Our three words solution: Alphabet Soup Technique. No, that's not our lunch order, it's actually a great method for finding keywords for your business (no matter how silly it sounds!)

What exactly is the alphabet soup technique? When you go on a search engine and start to type in a word or phrase and see the predictions/suggestions appear below, those are commonly searched phrases or questions associated with what you typed in. This is a great source for ideas because it's actually giving you the most commonly searched keywords....amazing, right?

Essentially with this method, you take a phrase for your industry/business and type it into the Google search bar (or your favorite search engine), and from there, add a letter of the alphabet to the end each time until you run out of letters in the alphabet. Choose a few words under each letter from the search that might be helpful and relatable for your business specifically and compile them into a list. Not only will this list contain a gold mine of keywords, but it also is a huge list of content inspiration.

When it comes to the word to start with, think about your industry. If you are a life coach for example, consider using - life coach, coaching, coach, life mentor, personal coach, personal coaching, etc! If you start with a word and see it going nowhere, switch it up! Not every keyword search will lead you on a path to other amazing keywords, so take your time to find effective ones.
