5 Tasks You Should Do Every Day On Instagram

Instagram’s algorithm is always changing, but that doesn’t mean as a brand you should fear it. In fact, we recommend that you use the algorithm in your favor to grow your engagement organically.

The way the Instagram algorithm works, according to Instagram directly, is that “what shows up first in your feed is determined by what posts and accounts you engage with the most”.

5 TASKS TO DO EVERYDAY ON INSTAGRAM:

  1. Respond to all comments on your recent posts.

  2. Respond to all of your DMs.

  3. Click through to a hashtag where your ideal audience and potential clients or customers are hanging out:

    1. Like 10 recent photos.

    2. Leave 5 meaningful comments.

    3. Follow 5 accounts.

    4. Repeat this 3 times with 3 different hashtags!

  4. Scroll through your news feed and leave meaningful comments on the first 10 posts.

  5. React with an emoji or send a DM to 5 stories at the top of your feed.

Additionally, you should engage with content directly before and after you post. If you don’t post every day that is ok, but when you do post you want to allocate some time to engage before you publish the post and right after.

We recommend creating your social media content ahead of time and using a scheduling tool to plan your content, but it is a good idea to not have the content auto-post. If you use Planoly to plan your content, then when it is the scheduled time you will get a notification on your phone that it is time to post. After you post, do the above five tasks!

BY DOING THESE FIVE TASKS EVERYDAY ON INSTAGRAM:

  • It will lead to your followers building a solid connection with you since you will be engaging with their posts and stories.

  • It will get more eyes on your profile, content, and posts.

  • Finally, you will see your engagement rate and followers grow.
