2023 Social Media Trends

Can you believe it's almost 2023?

It feels like 2022 went by in a breeze, and with that, out goes all the 2022 trends, too.

What can we look forward to in 2023?

Influencer Marketing

2023 has to be the year that we finally give influencers the major cred they deserve! Influencers are gaining popularity left and right. It's expected that influencer marketing will reach $84.89 billion in 2028. Have you thought about partnering with an influencer for your brand? With the proper partnership and strategy, it might be the marketing move for you.

Audience Experience

Customers are expecting more from brands. And since social media has become an amazing platform of communication between consumers and brands, we need to think about our audience experience! Customers want to see customers at the heart of social media, and with that, we need to ensure that we are utilizing things like multiple content types, customer service processes, FAQ sections, and non-spammy social media practices. If you want that sale, you need to be sure that you are focusing on the audience-nurturing stage in 2023.

Social Awareness & Political Activism

There's no doubt that social media platforms have become the spot for discussion when it comes to social and political topics and we don't see this trending going away anytime soon, especially with Gen Z. According to the Instagram trends report, Gen Z shows strong political activism and they are ready to support brands and influencers that do, too.

Collaborations

Community over competition is definitely IN right now! We are seeing more and more brands teaming up with brand collabs, giveaways, and content in general. Instagram's collaboration feature and TikTok's duet feature have made the process of connecting seamless in 2022, and in 2023, we only see it increasing from here!

Authenticity

The days of curating the perfect *cough cough*. fake social media image are over, and we couldn't be more excited about it. With apps like BeReal, the concept of being more genuine, more original, and more authentic have become front and center and we don't see it disappearing anytime soon. Even other platforms such as Instagram and TikTok have rounded a corner with more real-life content. Real people, real content, real mistakes, real struggles, and no gatekeeping....that's what's trending in 2023.

We'll see you next year! 😉
