10 Tips + Strategies That Helped Me Grow to 10k Followers on Instagram

Are you stuck trying to grow on Instagram?

Let's face it... we ALL want to grow to 10k followers on Instagram. Whether it's because of the coveted swipe up feature, or the feeling that we've "made it" on Instagram — 10,000 followers is the magic number.

Today, I'm sharing 10 tips and strategies that have helped me grow to 10k followers on Instagram. For a little more context this has included $0.00 spent on ads, and it's been a two and a half years climb to this number.

1. Be consistent. You don't have to post every single day, but the amount of times you do post a week should be consistent. If you can't post that day, story! If you can't do either: reply to comments and answer your DMs.

2. Give value. Then give more value. Your Instagram audience is ice cold, and they need to be warmed up to what you sell. Share value in ways that you can solve their problems... then position your offer as their solution.

3. Don't be afraid to stand out. If you repel someone that's ok, for every person you repel, you're attracting a dream client.

4. Pick one thing you are really good at, and become the GO TO person or account for that.

5. Create visually appealing graphics & an on brand feed. No, your grid doesn't have to be perfect... but it should look decent.

6. Use your highlights like tabs on your website.

7. Use stories for fun. Do around 3-5 polls back to back at least once a week. Play this or that, poll your audience, or play would you rather. Your story views will go up from the engagement.

8. Don't treat every new follower like a transaction. They might not be! (& don't neglect your 100 or 1000 followers because it isn't 10k...)

9. DM new followers to say hey... do not pitch them. Build relationships with them!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

10. Finally, create REELS! You don't have to dance (I didn't) but you can still grow with them. Pull from your top-performing posts and repurpose.
