Marketing Guide: How to Share a Podcast on Instagram

Like most of the world these days, we are obsessed with podcasts! Like to the point where podcasts are probably thinking....

However, as a consumer of podcasts, finding new podcasts can be time-consuming. And, as a podcaster, it can be challenging to gain exposure to just gain exposure off of podcast streaming apps alone. This is where how you market your podcast will come into the picture!

Instagram can be such a helpful marketing tool when it comes to podcasts. It's a great way to expand your reach, and connect your current Instagram audience to your podcast, and our favorite part: it's great for repurposing/cross-promoting content so you don't always have to come up with new content ideas!

Here are three fun ways that you can share your podcast on Instagram:

1.) Turn your Podcast Into A Reel

Regardless if you record a video with your podcast or not, it can be so simple to turn it into an Instagram Reel! Use a snippet of your audio or video to create your next Reel. Don't forget to add in elements to make it stand out, too, like sound waves, subtitles, text, a call-to-action to the rest of the episode, and more! Check out this example for inspiration:

2.) Share It On Your Stories

In a few simple steps, you can actually share a podcast episode right to your Instagram, for viewers to click and it will take them right there!

3.) Make a Graphic:

A graphic is a quick and easy way to share your podcast. If you search "Podcast" on Canva Templates, they have a lot of great ideas to choose from, or you can always design your own! The best part is that you can use these in posts, carousels, stories, Reels, and pair them with audio, add a link or poll (on Instagram stories & Reels). The possibilities are endless! Check out this example graphic we use on our Instagram Stories:

We can't wait to see how you put these ideas into action when you market your podcast!
