Creating a Client Welcome Packet

Totally just asking for a friend here....can packets and SOPs be a love language? 🤔

Even if they aren't your love language, they can be a helpful resource for your client to have in the onboarding process! When we put ourselves in the client's shoes, we will quickly find out that adding on an SMM (or any outsourced service!) can be a lot. And, it can be even a really stressful and frustrating one if it's not the most organized and efficient it can be.

Think about when you start at a new job or even add a new tool to your toolkit. There are so many questions, and so much information everywhere, and it's just overwhelming being in a new situation in general. That's where a welcome packet and a solid onboarding process can alleviate a lot of the uneasiness about the changes!

Not sure where to start when creating your welcome packet?

Here are some things you should include in your client welcome packet:

  1. Personalized welcome note

  2. Breakdown of the services in the social media management package they selected

  3. Process overviews (i.e. what does the content calendar approval process look like?)

  4. FAQs

  5. Best Practices/Expectations for both the SMM and the client

  6. Important Links/Places/Tools
