How To Create a Social Media Manager Portfolio That Attracts Your Dream Clients
Real talk: Portfolios seem vastly overwhelming because they are essentially a summary of who you are and what you can do, right? However, there is so much over-complication of the subject and it's actually quite simple to make a portfolio that pulls in your dream clients and confidently sells your services (even if you haven't gotten your first client, yet!) We are here to guide you through it.
First, what exactly is a portfolio and why do we need one? A portfolio is a quick guide to who you are and what you can do for your customer. This is often the first element of your business that potential customers see, making it a crucial step of the client acquisition process! We want to not only show off our amazing results and work but also, use it as a major attraction piece to connect with our ideal clients and get them to want to book a discovery call with you!
What To Include In A Social Media Manager Portfolio:
About you
This should be a brief introduction to who you are. Tell them about your experience, and expertise, and share a shorten, professional version of who you are!
Who you work with (niche)
Portfolios are all about speaking to your target customer! Tell them who you work with specifically. One way to do this is by including your "I help" or "niche statement." Try this template if you are working on crafting one for your biz: I help [ideal client] with [action] so that they can [desire]. (EX: "I help mid-sized beauty companies {IDEAL CLIENT} with IG Management {ACTION} so that they can organically grow brand awareness & increase revenue {DESIRE}.")
How you can solve their problem?
Why should people hire you? Are you saving them time, money, and resources? Let them know how they will benefit from hiring you, and be as specific as you can!
Case studies
Case studies add that realness factor to your portfolio! Clients love to see social proof and real results that you've earned! Find a fun way to showcase analytics of your favorite account and make sure to describe the process of how you got them. Before showcasing an account, make sure that you ask permission from the client, and consider hiding the client's information for confidentiality. The best part - you don't have to have a client already to be able to showcase case studies. Use your own socials accounts!
Call-to-Actions
They loved your portfolio and want to learn more! Now what? Make it easy for them to book a call and get started on the next step of the process.
