Putting Your Social Media On Autopilot

Are you stressed about posting consistently AND on time? Sometimes it can feel like an unfeasible goal to make sure you’re delivering up to date content on a regular basis. So we’ve compiled a few steps that you can take to help you streamline your posting so that your content is continuously flowing for each Platform

STEP 1: IDENTIFY WHICH PLATFORM/PLATFORMS YOU POST THE MOST CONTENT ON

There’s plenty of software out there that provides you with the ability to schedule your content earlier, and then posts for you at your desired time.

For instance, if you post on Instagram on a daily basis while only posting on LinkedIn once a week, maybe you want to invest in a software that schedules for Instagram while you manually post on LinkedIn. Or maybe you post on several platforms several times a week, then you may want to consider a multiple platform software that allows you to schedule individual posts for each platform.

Single Platforms

Instagram | Planoly

Instagram | Later

Pinterest | Tailwind

Multiple Platforms

Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Youtube | Hootsuite

Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google + | Sprout

Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google + | Buffer

STEP 2: BATCH YOUR CONTENT

Prepare, prepare, prepare! Come up with content ahead of time so that you’re able to take your time to appropriately post your content at the right time. When you sit down and come up with ideas for the following month, instead of the current day, you allow yourself more time to consider: Is this the right content for my audience and is this the right time to post this? Batching will provide you with more relief than you can imagine so you’re not fretting what to post the day of. So grab a pen, sit down, and be creative!

STEP 3: CHECK IN YOUR AUDIENCE!

Don’t just post and forget. Your SM platforms are real people you engage with, so you need to be aware if your content is actually resonating with them. See what content is performing best with your audience and adjust when necessary. Feel free to be creative! You’ll never know what could go “viral” for your audience if you don’t try!

STEP 4: BE CONSISTENT AND SHOW UP!

While your content is technically being posted on it’s own, you should keep a list on your phone with ideas you come up with during the day, Then you have a bank of ideas in your phone so when you’re batching content for the following month, you’ve already got a bunch of ideas already ready. Not only should you be coming up with ideas to remain consistent, but to be innovative in your industry! Keep researching and allow yourself to be inspired by others in your community while you come up with your content.
