How To Collaborate With Other Accounts on Social Media

There are so many opportunities to collab with others on socials now, between giveaways, brand partnerships, and Instagram collaboration posts; but, what exactly does that look like?

Decide If It's the Right Fit

Don't collab just to collab! It's like creating an ad where you don't set your audience, it would be reach - but the wrong reach. You'll want to be sure that the person/brand you are going with has a similar audience demographic as you or a potential audience demographic that you want to reach.

Reach Out

Email is typically the more professional option, but we all know that it's the easiest thing to find from time to time! On their website or even social profile, they will probably mention their preferred method of communication, so be sure to follow through via their preferred platform. If all else fails, try a direct message!

Contract/Agreement

Consult a legal team to decide what will be the best option to set expectations and protect both parties. The last thing you want is for your fun collab to turn into a legal battle! Make sure to at least set expectations in writing and save them for your files.

Brainstorm and have fun!

Last but not least, it's time to choose what the content is, brainstorm, and be open to all ideas!

Happy Collabing!!
