Instagram Profile Checklist

We want all your IG profile's to shine✨ No matter what your business's social media goals are, you'll need a profile that is effective to pull in your dream clients, customers, leads, and community.

Here are some elements you need to check off to have an optimized Instagram profile:

✔️Profile Picture

Your profile picture is so important! If you are more of a personal brand (coach, accountant, lawyer, etc.), a headshot might be the best option for you. Make sure it's a professional headshot that's clear, high-quality, and not overly distracting. If you're a company using your logo or a shortened version of your logo, make sure it's not cut off on Instagram.

✔️ Name

Your name should be clear, concise, and contain keywords! You are allowed 160 characters in your name. So, don't be afraid to use up that free real estate.

✔️ Bio

So, you pulled them in - it's time to show them what to do! There are three essential pieces of a bio, (1) showcase your brand personality (2) tell them who you are (3) include a CTA of what to do next. The days of posting a quote to your bio are far over (and if I could go back in time and take it out of my 17-year-old-self's bio I probably would do that, too). When it comes to crafting your bio, consider creating an "I help" statement: "I help mid-sized beauty companies {Ideal Client} with Instagram Management {Action} so that they can organically grow brand awareness and increase revenue from social media {desire}. And it doesn't necessarily have to be so bluntly put, so feel free to put your own personality and spin on it! Lastly, the CTA, what do you want them to do next? Schedule an appointment, book now, shop now, visit the website to learn more check out the blog post - whatever the next step is, you'll want to be sure to draw attention to it.

✔️ Link

ALWAYS include a link in the bio. For the most part, you'll want that to be your website so they can learn more about you, buy, and contact you in a more formal way than sliding in your DMs. Depending on the type of business, you might have more than one place you need your viewers to go to; however, you want to use up this with valuable real estate.

✔️ Effective Highlights

Your highlights should be the next place people go to learn more about you. They should be an extension of your bio to further showcase and sell what you do. This might include FAQs, about us, our team, a new product, a current sale, or a discount code to really sell your brand's features.

✔️ Valuable Posts

Reels, videos, carousels, and posts - use your social media strategy to create valuable content that entertains, educates, and positively promotes all the elements that make up your brand.
